Papers and business records of the Perkins family [manuscript], 1776-1893.

Ledgers, daybooks, journals, letter books, receipt books, and miscellaneous papers containing business, legal, and farm records, and private letters of the Perkins family and others. They consist chiefly of the accounts of George W. Perkins, tobacco commission merchant of Richmond and Powhatan County, Va.; William Allen Perkins of Cumberland County, Va.; John Seabrook & Company, of Smithsville, Va.; and physician's records of Dr. Robert Henderson. Includes the voting register of the Madison Magisterial District of Cumberland County, 1870; and the tax and execution books of Powhatan County, 1806-1819. Other papers concern the Guthrey, Henderson, Saunders and Smith families. Names of persons and firms mentioned include Eliza T. Perkins, Ludlam Heineken and Comapny, Martha Henderson, Home Insurance Company, George William Palmore, Perkins and Davis, and Perkins and Harris.
